Youda Survivor
How do you like your eggs?

Life's not easy when you're a survivor marooned on an island and having to fend yourself from pirates - but if you fancy giving it a go from the comfort of your armchair then you'll be sure to play this.

Youda Survivor is a simple and increasingly addictive game where you have two elements. The first element is moving around the map and unlocking new technology to help you achieve goals (e.g. beating the clock) and the second part is the most fun bit, collecting eggs, making potions, beating up pirates and err... lobsters.

So how do you collect eggs? I hear you ask, well, what you must do is dig holes, do a rain dance and encourage seagulls to drink the water and reward your efforts with an egg. Of course, this would be all too easy, so the game makers have added more challenges along the way.

As the game progresses you must manage more of a production line. Digging enough holes, keeping the birds well watered, gathering eggs, boiling the eggs or turning them into powder, defending your land from pirates and crustaceans, trying to keep your energy up (by eating enough eggs) and avoiding dehydration (by drinking enough water) and yet, not consuming too much to unwittingly make reaching your goals harder for yourself.

So does the game tick all the right boxes? Definitely. It is easy to get to grips with, very enjoyable, highly entertaining, got a good little story, lots of bonus levels, plenty of challenges and not as easy as it would first appear. Good old fashioned fun for all ages.

Positives
Lots of bright cheery graphics and music
Plenty of levels
Loads of challenges

Negatives
Can be a bit repetitive
Other styles of game mode would be good to add more variation
